🚫Nightmare Eyes🚫

Happy Harvest Eve! This was a very last minute custom idea so this is my first custom that I made in less than 24 hours! It was a crazy day but I was able to get Mae done before pumpkins were thrown in the woods.

Night in the Woods is my favorite game of all time and making the trash mammal herself was very rewarding. As someone who struggled through college and grew up in a small town, this game was far too relatable. Though I had the intentions of selling Mae, this is the first custom that I plan to keep after 40 Furby customs. However, I will be making a dreamscape Mae so someone else will be able to have one too 🥺❤

I had a dream that me and my nephew saw a mall Santa and the elf was like “go sit on Santa’s lap!!”. and. I mean. This would not be a problem if this mall Santa wasn’t very obviously Will Wood. Santa is a man who’s had children sitting on his lap for thousands of years no problem. Will Wood is just a guy. I also knew that this was DREAM Will Wood and that was different. Dream Will Wood has also sprayed me with hoses and pushed me off of cliffs. My point is that my boundaries are different between the jolly old man loved by all and a guy I’ve never actually met.

I was too nervous to sit on Santa Wood’s lap so I just kept stalling. I pretended that the camera app kept crashing or something. My nephew pulled me aside and was like “what are you doing Santa’s waiting” and I was like “what kind of Santa wears those gay ass earrings that’s fucking will wood” and he didn’t believe me lol

When we turned back around, Santa Wood was dead. I was like woah what happened and the gods above said “you bore him to death”

Suddenly Santa Wood’s spirit is right next to me and he asks what toy I want. I blabber on about the kids cuisine furby which was probably annoying but he still listened to me.

“Merry Christmas, bitch” he whispered in my ear, before strangling me to death.

I FINALLY FOUND IT!!! I drew this back in 2019, forgot to post it anywhere, lost the post it's inspired by/in reference to, and then thought the drawing itself got yeetus deletus'd when I wiped my old computer. But he lives! And I'm still pretty proud of how it looks, although there IS a bit of weird noise/artifacting in some places. Oh well

any less well-known suggestions for the gaping void in my soul left by Tally Hall, and then Will Wood? I’ve listened to most of the well-known ones such as The Scary Jokes and Lemon Demon, and they just don’t hit in the same way.

if it helps, my favorite songs by each are spring and a storm and taken for a ride, and 2econd 2ight 2eer and white noise.

edit: preferably people who are still making music, I can’t go through the heartbreak of finding a new favorite artist, and then realizing they’re retired again

I was going to say "well you can break it and it never turns back on" but then realized that I have fixed furbies who have been through hell. I have chipped 20 year old ketchup crust off the mechanism of a Furby, slammed it against a table and have it come to life
